Welcome to Keythorpe Yoga Retreat UK
After an extremely busy productive period we are having a break from running the retreats this year. A huge thank you to all of you that came to Keythorpe and made the retreats such wonderful experiences. We are currently holding a weekly mixed class every Friday morning from 9am to 10.30am. It is a drop in class so those in the vicinity please do feel free to join when you are able.
I am also currently working with students on an individual basis, which involves tailor made practises for each person. This type of service is designed to cater to an individuals specific needs. W e have been achieving very positive results from this approach to the work and now would like to offer individual sessions wider a field.
You would have an initial consultation costing £75
Each subsequent session would cost £50
Please do contact us again if you would like to benefit from these sessions.

Keythorpe Hall Yoga Retreats
Article from the Buckinghamshire Echo - Issue 034
A Retreat With A Difference
THERE is, for most of us, an ingrained image in our minds that rears up when someone suggests that what we need is to go on a ‘retreat.’ It usually includes visions of dressing in sackcloth and ashes, enduring the strict regime of a stern Germanic Matron with intimacy issues and looking forward with little enthusiasm to the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to flog oneself with damp twigs.
Keythorpe Hall Yoga Retreats bear no resemblance to these feared excursions, returning ‘retreat’ to its original, intended, meaning - a chance to break from the battle of everyday life, to regroup, recharge and reevaluate - with added enjoyment along the way.
Rather they are designed, under the auspices and supervision of Sarah Cawkwell, a trained yoga instructor, to provide a nurturing and inspiring environment in which to relax and gain deeper understanding of themselves through the practice of yoga.
Held in the beautiful Keythorpe Hall, there are a maximum of fourteen people to each weekend retreat, allowing for a spacious bedroom for each person and the ability to get to know other members of the group throughout the weekend.
The itinerary is designed to provide a full, relaxing and enjoyable experience for all beginning with refreshments, followed by yoga practice, lunch, remedial massage therapy and deep relaxation and concluded on the first day with drinks and dinner for the entire group. The next morning brings a further yoga session and a marvellous brunch, with guests then able to depart at their leisure.
All the meals provided are vegetarian and of the highest quality, but it is the prevailing attitude that truly sets Keythorpe Hall Yoga Retreats apart.
Sarah Cawkwell, who provides the yoga instruction, has been involved with yoga for over ten years and has studied in Nepal, Indonesia, France and England.
“What we are trying to provide,” she says, “is a place where people can go - to get away from it all and explore themselves through yoga. That does not preclude having a good time, whatever preconceptions people may hold.
“In small groups such as we cater to, we not only provide for great training, massage and so on, but also a chance to enjoy new people’s company. When we get together at the end of the Saturday night for dinner, it is no po-faced occasion. It is a party.
“I think it helps people to see that yoga is a part of life, something that can increase your sense of yourself and increase your wellbeing - something that, whatever your lifestyle or tastes, can only make your life better. It is for and of benefit to everyone.
“And we have the perfect venue to express this at Keythorpe Hall. Being a private home, it is has none of the negative aspects of a hotel, without losing any of the comfort. It is a beautiful place that can only help to fortify the necessary feeling of tranquility.”
Keythorpe Hall Yoga Retreats hold retreats throughout the year. So, if you are looking for that perfect getaway, whether you are a yoga beginner or a yoga teacher yourself, then give them a call.
You won’t be disappointed.
